Today, my generation – the Y generation – is crashing into the business world full force and more and more on our own terms. Gen-Y isn’t here to play by the rules of an old, stodgy corporate infrastructure; we are here to make our own and be very successful while doing it! From rethinking the way we work and play to creating innovative new ways to collaborate, Y-ers are reshaping global markets and impacting the corporate world without even knowing we’re doing it.

You see, to us, grabbing a laptop and heading to our local coffee house with a group of peers is second nature. Whether we’re in a classroom, office, or Kate’s Coffee Cafe, we get down to business. Sitting at home with a web cam and sharing our ideas through Skype or blogging it out on a variety of social networking tools is what we do – and it’s not just all fun (Even though it can be!). We are inadvertently changing the way that business is, and will be done from now on. We need to know how important we are to the modern world and it’s up to us to help the older generations understand it!

This web site is dedicated to helping Generation Y understand the way Gen-X and the Baby Boomers roll. Sure, we may be taking over at a rapid pace, but integration, collaboration, and understanding one another is going to be the key to overall success. This site will also act as a voice for Gen-Y so that generations above us can understand how we operate…… and that Twitter isn’t some kind of new fangled drug. Attraction and retention is a HUGE issue in business right now, and more so with businesses that are run by boomers who may not get our fresh new outlook on productivity. My goal is to help them get it, from coast to coast and around the world, so that we can make a seamless entry into corporate society and build relationships, businesses, and a healthy economy.
